NBC Connecticut Unleashes 'Snow Monster,' Gets Mocked: Report
Just in time for winter, WVIT-TV debuts new weather vehicle.
With the first signs of snow on the horizon, NBC Connecticut has debuted its new weather vehicle, the Snow Monster, a tricked out four-door Jeep Wrangler, complete with fuzzy blue interior.
The station touts it as a one-of-a-kind truck and "Winter's Worst Nightmare," but it didn't take long for it to be mocked by the website FTVLive, saying its just a Jeep "with a couple of GoPros stuck on it and a thermometer."
The truck will be driving around the state this winter to update viewers on road conditions, and has a Twitter account, @SnowMonsterCT.

In fact, NBC Connecticut says that thermometer is special. "One feature that sets Snow Monster apart from the competition is its ground temperature sensor, which will provide important data relating to winter road conditions."
