Connecticut Weather: 'Accumulating Snow' Possible In The Forecast
Here's the latest updates on the potential for Connecticut's first snow of this season.
During the middle of the week the weather pattern shifts in Connecticut and we'll be dealing with a round of below normal temperatures, which means if we see precipitation it's likely to fall as snow. As of right now there is a chance of some 'accumulating snow' late Friday and Saturday, according to NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.
But as Hanrahan says, no one can estimate yet if, and how much, snow we may receive. "As we've been talking about for about 2 weeks... the long awaited pattern change arrives this week. We know it will get colder (below normal) but how much snow we get is uncertain. The first possibility is Friday/Saturday. Not much more we can say now other than accumulating snow is possible. When we know more you'll be the first to know," Hanrahan said.
Before we get to Friday, there will be some rain falling on both Tuesday and Wednesday and temperatures will drop steadily headed toward the end of the week.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "We will need umbrellas for tomorrow with rain arriving - some of the rain will be heavy at times Tuesday night. Clearing and turning colder through the day on Wednesday."
And as for a snow chance, Simmons said Monday morning that we may be looking at some light snow Friday/Saturday.
