New Canaan Girls Finish 11th At FCIAC Indoor Track Championship
Steph Benko finished second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:38.34
The New Canaan girls track team finished 11th in the FCIAC indoor track championships on Thursday at the Floyd Litte Athletic Center in New Haven. The Rams finished with 16 points.
The 4x800 relay team of Isabel Hetherington, Liz Gordon, Emily Wood and Steph Benko placed fourth with a time of 9:59.28. In a tight race, they were edged out by Darien, which finished just .01 seconds ahead of New Canaan.
Benko also finished second in the 3.200 meters with a time 11:38.34.

In addition, New Canaan's Isabel Hetherington was fifth in the 1,600 meters (5:25.35) while Alexis Najarian and Isabel Herde tied for sixth in the high jump with a leap of four feet, eight inches.
