On Wednesday, January 29th, the NCHS varsity boy's squash team defeated Greenwich 8-0 at Chelsea Piers in Stamford. Grayson Bubrosky (#1) defeated Peter Yuen 11-3, 11-8, 11-7. Killian Bubrosky (#2) won 11-8, 11-1, 11-5 against Kieran Davis and Christian Megherby (#4) won 11-3, 11-9, 11-6 against Davis Lee. Hal Holappa (#3) played a competitive match with Stephen Song, pulling off the win 11-7, 10-12, 11-7, 12-10. Andreas Kjekstad (#5) upset Zach Bai in 4 games, winning 11-9, 11-2, 9-11, 11-7. Kyle Finnican (#6) defeated Ethan Stroud 11-2, 11-3, 11-4. Co-captain Will Gruseke (#7) beat Joseph Magliocco 12-10, 11-1, 11-5. Sam Havens (#8) won against Cornelius Bancroft 11-6, 12-10, 11-9.
The next match for the team will be against Bronxville High School on Wednesday, February 5th at Chelsea Piers. On February 7th Varsity A and B teams will travel to U.S. High School Team Squash Championships in Philadelphia, PA.
