Over two dozen au pairs with Au Pair in America who are living and working in New Canaan helped the Young Women's League fill 10,000 Easter eggs with candy in advance of the town-wide hunt this past Saturday.

“The girls love volunteering in the community, and this is a favorite annual event,” stated Marianne Grandin, the Au Pair in America Community Counselor and long-time New Canaan resident. “They love giving back to the town that has welcomed them so warmly.”

The girls are from all over the world, and commit to their host families for a minimum of one year. The U.S. Department of State’s au pair program allows 18 to 26-year-old international visitors to acquire a better understanding and appreciation of American life while living with an American family and caring for their children.
