New Canaan Board of Finance Budget Vote Scheduled

Residents can share their thoughts about the proposed budget at a meeting Tuesday night.

The proposed budget comes with an increase of $7.7 million or 5.4 percent over the current budget, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The proposed $4 million Locust Avenue tiered parking facility was not in the capital budget proposal. Proposals for a fire truck, dump truck and two police vehicles were removed by the Board of Selectmen.

The public can speak at a public hearing Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at town hall.
