New Canaan Considers Selling Playhouse Theater
First Selectman Robert Mallozzi said that it was a good thing the town saved the theater, but it's time to sell it.

NEW CANAAN, CT- The town is looking to sell the Playhouse movie theater on Elm Street in the near future.
First Selectman Robert Mallozzi III said recently that the town would rather not own the building or be in the movie theater business, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

Currently there is no buyer, but a movie theater chain or others could be possible buyers.
Mallozzi said he is glad the town saved the building, but it's time to shift taking care of it away from taxpayers.
