New Canaan Dog Hurt After Possible Coyote Attack
The dog ran into the woods and his owner heard a yelp.
NEW CANAAN, CT- A dog on Benedict Hill Road is undergoing a 45-day observation after puncture wounds were found on his throat.
The Dacshund mix ran into the woods Feb. 29 and his owner heard a yelp, according to the New Canaanite. The dog ran back and the owner later discovered the wounds.
It isn't known for sure how the dog was injured, but New Canaan Police Animal Control officers suspect it was a coyote.
