New Canaan DUI Arrest After Speeding: PD

The man's BAC was more than double the legal limit, police said.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Officers arrested a North Salem man after he was found speeding through town,a according to police.

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle April 16 that was traveling 58 mph in a 45 mph zone on New Norwalk Road, police said.

The officer smelled alcohol on the driver and had him perform a field sobriety test.

Joselito Quinones, 41, failed the test and was charged with DUI and speeding, according to police. His BAC was .18, double the legal limit.

Norwalk Police took custody of him due to an active warrant.
