New Canaan First Selectman Recovering from Broken Leg

Note: We ran this story earlier in the week, but here it is again in case you missed it.

First Selectman Rob Mallozzi is recovering from an accident that left him with sprained ankle and a broken fibula.

Mallozzi was in Newport, R.I. for a 12-meter sailing race, according to the New Canaanite. He took a bad step between a boat and a launch.

Mallozzi will be spending the rest of his booked vacation recovering with his leg elevated to help speed-up the healing. He will be back at work Tuesday.
