The New Canaan Historical Society turns 125 this year!
“The New Canaan Historical Society is the town’s oldest, continuously operating non-profit organization, and one which does not receive any Town funding,” said Executive Director, New Canaan resident Janet Lindstrom. “We rely entirely on the generosity of our donors, the community, and our program revenue.”
“As a volunteer with the Historical Society, I’ve seen what an impact the organization has made on the community, whether it’s helping bring awareness to the preservation of antique homes, acting as caretaker to many of our town’s treasured museums, or providing hands-on learning experiences for Connecticut children,” noted 125th Anniversary event Chairperson, New Canaan resident Susan Serven. “It’s truly one of our Town’s treasures.”
