New Canaan Home Damaged By Fallen Tree: Report
Heavy winds throughout Connecticut knocked out power to thousands on Monday.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Heavy winds snapped a pine tree in front of a home on Norholt Drive in New Canaan Monday, damaging the home and temporarily knocking out power to the area, reports the New Canaan Advertiser.
No injuries were reported, and as of 2:20 p.m. just over 50 Eversource customers in town were without power, according to the utility company.
Around the state, more than 10,000 homes and businesses were without power on Monday afternoon, as the high winds wrecked havoc throughout Connecticut.
