New Canaan Library Announces New Director

Lisa Oldham has been appointed Executive Director of the New Canaan Library effective July 1st. Oldham, according to the library website, brings nearly 25 years’ library experience from far flung locations including Guatemala and Sri Lanka.  

“Library services are evolving rapidly and the world is getting smaller,” Oldham was quoted as saying in the statement, adding that she intends to blend traditional services with new digital offerings. 

Oldham was raised and educated in the US,  but  will arrive in New Canaan via the National Library of New Zealand where most recently she advised both government and schools on developing library services and buildings.
