New Canaan Man Arrested for DUI: PD
The arrest came after the man's vehicle went off the roadway and struck a rock.

NEW CANAAN, CT- A New Canaan man was charged with DUI after his vehicle went off road and crashed into a large rock Wednesday.
Police were dispatched to the area of 200 Mill Road around 1 a.m.
The operator, Steven Fry, 58, failed a field sobriety test and a subsequent breath test came back with a blood-alcohol content level of .239, nearly three times over the legal limit, according to police.

He was charged with DUI and failure to drive right.

Other arrests:
- Andrew Smith, 30, of New Canaan was charged with second-degree failure to appear.
- William Ayles, 20, of Norwalk was charged with second-degree failure to appear.
- Donald Haas, 54, of Stamford was charged with two counts each of first-degree criminal trespass and creating a public disturbance. The arrest stems from an outstanding warrant for a March 22 incident on Grove Street.
