New Canaan Man Charged with Assault

The charges came after he allegedly violated a protective order, police said.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A local man was charged with assault, harassment and other criminal charges after a domestic incident, police said.

Police took a complaint on April 21 after Fahey, 19, allegedly violated a protective order that prevents him from having contact with the victim, according to police.

Fahey was taken into custody at his residence on April 21. He was charged with second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful restraint.

He was held on a $10,000 bond.
