New Canaan Man Charged with DUI

The man was pulled over after a traffic signal violation, police said.

NEW CANAAN, CT—Police arrested a local man for DUI after he failed to obey a traffic signal on Aug. 27.

An officer on patrol observed the vehicle not stop at a blinking red light at the intersection of Cherry and Pine streets.

A stop was conducted and Christopher Ciancio, 53, failed field sobriety tests, police said. He refused to submit to a BAC test.
Ciancio was charged with DUI and failure to obey a traffic signal.
