New Canaan Man Charged with DUI After Striking Object: PD

The man's vehicle was disabled after crashing into an object, according to police.

NEW CANAAN, CT—Police charged a local man with DUI after his vehicle became disabled after striking an object near a traffic island, according to police.

Officers responded Sept. 11 around 9:15 p.m. to the area of West Road near Weed Street.

Driver Brock Harris, 24, failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. A BAC test came back with a result of .15, nearly double the legal limit, according to police.

He was charged with DUI, failure to drive right and failure to carry insurance identification.
