New Canaan Man Charged with DUI After Crash: PD

The man's BAC was more than double the legal limit, according to police.

NEW CANAAN, CT—A local man turned himself in to police Oct. 18 on a DUI charge from August.

Police were dispatched to the Aug. 7 crash around 9:38 p.m. in the area of Main and Park streets after a vehicle crashed into a tree.

A search warrant was used to obtain the blood-alcohol content results for Kevin Ancker, 39. It was found to be .18, more than double the legal limit, according to police.

He was charged with DUI, failure to drive right, failure to wear a seat belt and using a hand held device while driving.
