I just met New Canaan's Sherryl Mascarinas over at the United Methodist Church Nursery School's annual parent volunteer fundraiser.
I'll get a photo gallery of that great event up in a minute, but I wanted to break out this item on Sherryl. Her handmade children's accessories company -- lizzie, izzie + james -- has been around since 2008 and her goods can be found at Candy Nichols and She La La downtown.
What's interesting is that her company is named after her three kids' middle names -- not their first names.
"I just wanted to be a little more whimsical, not so obvious," she said.
Here's what the company would've been called if she went by first names: skylar, peyton + deacon.
They're all in East School, mom said.
