New Canaan PD Busts 2 With Marijuana, Cash, Paraphernalia

The discovery was made after police pulled over their vehicle for running a stop sign.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Two men were arrested on narcotics charges this week after New Canaan police pulled them over for running a stop sign and discovered marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia in their possession, according to authorities.

Arrested were Adam Robertson, 19, of Appleblossom Lane in Newtown, and Brandon Ryan, 22, of Craig Lane in Trumbull.

Just before 9:30 p.m. police spotted Robertson run a stop sign at the intersection of Grove Street and Richmond Hill Road and pulled over the vehicle. While speaking to Robertson and the passenger, Ryan, officers saw in the back seat two clear plastic bags containing marijuana.

With the help of police K9 Off. Apollo, officers searched the vehicle and found 2.5 ounces of marijuana, a digital scale, $500 in cash, a multi-colored glass pipe and a clear glass container with hash oil inside.

Robertson was released after posting a $10,000 bond, while Ryan was held overnight and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on March 20 for arraignment.
