The challenge is simple. Do 22 push-ups a day for 22 days, to show veterans that they are appreciated and not alone in their darkest hour. Tragically, an average of 22 U.S. veterans commit suicide daily due to post-traumatic stress disorder. This is a tragedy that needs our attention.
This challenge shows war veterans that they have an army of their own to help empower them. Many members of our Department are proud veterans. Like veterans, law enforcement officers are not immune to the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder.
