New Canaan Police Arrest Minor for Forgery, Marijuana Possession
The arrest happened after a motor vehicle stop.

New Canaan Police arrested a juvenile for possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana and forgery after a motor vehicle stop.
An officer noticed a vehicle parked near Silvermine Road and Beacon Lane on May 8 around 8:15 p.m. The officer later pulled the vehicle over after it began moving and rolled through a painted stop bar, according to police.
The officer allegedly smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle after it was stopped.

Police confiscated a jar with several plastic baggies, a still-warm metal pipe with marijuana residue a metal grinder with residue, rolling papers and more plastic baggies.
A false license depicting the 17-year-old as 21-years-old was also confiscated.

The driver was charged with possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree forgery.
