New Canaan Police Commission To Interview Officer Candidate

The interview is scheduled for this week.

NEW CANAAN, CT — During a Special Meeting this week, the New Canaan Board of Police Commissioners is scheduled to interview a candidate for an entry level police officer's position, according to a commission agenda.

Who the candidate is was not disclosed, and the commission expects "part or all of this meeting [to] occur in Executive Session."

Currently, the department lists 30 patrol officers and 16 members with the rank of sergeant or higher, according the department's webpage.

The Special Meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 5, at 9:45 a.m. at Police Headquarters in the Training Classroom.
