New Canaan Police, First Selectman React To Fatal Bristol Shooting
Two Bristol police officers were killed and another was injured while responding to a domestic call late Wednesday night, state police said.

NEW CANAAN, CT — First Selectman Kevin Moynihan has issued a statement on the shooting that killed two police officers and injured another in Bristol late Wednesday night.
In an email to Patch, Moynihan said the fatal shooting was "just tragic" and offered his condolences to the families of both officers.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the two brave young officers who died in the line of duty last night in Bristol," Moynihan said. "We thank our officers in blue who risk their lives to protect our communities."

"The New Canaan Police Department extends its deepest thoughts, prayers and sympathies to the Bristol Police Department on the tragic loss of two of their own. Additionally, our thoughts and prayers are with the officer who is recovering after his surgery from injuries sustained during this tragic incident," the NCPD posted.
