New Canaan Police Make Arrest in $13k Jewel Burglary

The arrest was made with the help of DNA evidence, according to police.

NEW CANAAN, CT—Police arrested a Prospect man who was involved in a December 2014 burglary on New Norwalk Road, according to police.

The burglary involved forced entry and an estimated $13,000 worth of jewelry was stolen.

DNA was found at the scene and was sent to the state lab for processing, police said. A match was made and police obtained an arrested warrant for Stephen Carroll, 44.
Carroll was taken into custody at Norwalk court and charged with second-degree larceny and third-degree burglary.
