New Canaan Police Make DUI Arrest

Police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle Wednesday evening.

NEW CANAAN, CT- Police arrested a Wilton man after his vehicle struck a curb on Jelliff Mill Road Wednesday evening.

Police got a report of a possibly disabled vehicle around 6:33 p.m. They found that Michael Doery, 55, had struck a curb and caused damage to the front right tire, police said.

Doery smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. He refused to take a blood-alcohol test, according to police. He was charged with DUI and failure to drive right.
