New Canaan Police Make Pair of DWI Arrests
A crash led police to one of the alleged intoxicated drivers.

Erratic Driver Arrested
An Easton man was arrested for DWI while driving in New Canaan, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to Bank Street and South Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. on Sept. 16 on a report of an erratic driver.

Police observed the vehicle traveling north on South Avenue. It was stopped near Cherry Street.
The operator, identified as David Robushi, 50, failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI.

Crash Leads to Arrest
A New Canaan woman was charged with DWI after she was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Oenoke Ridge Road, police said.
Police responded to the road on Sept. 18 around 11:20 p.m. They made contact with the operator, Gaye Geiger, 58, of New Canaan. She allegedly didn’t cooperate with a field sobriety test. A breathalyzer test showed she was allegedly twice over the legal limit.
She was charged with DWI.
