New Canaan police are investigating a reported vandalism to a mailbox on Ogden Street where someone allegedly removed the mailbox and tossed it into a pond on May 30, the New Canaanite reports.

Student’s laptop stolen

New Canaan police are investigating after a laptop belonging to a St. Luke’s School student was stolen.

The student was on a Metro-North train headed to New York City for a class field trip when it was reported stolen on May 16, the New Canaanite reports.

DUI Arrest

New Canaan police say an off-duty Stamford police officer helped nab a 20-year-old Stamford man with a DUI charge, the New Canaanite reports.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on May 30 on Ponus Ridge near Jelliff Mill Road.

The man was asleep when police arrived and they found vodka in his car, the New Canaanite reports. He told police he was returning from a party in Greenwich.
