New Canaan Police Say Driver Was Doing More Than Speeding

The driver admitted to having some pot in the car.

A driver stopped by New Canaan Police for speeding on Carter Street received more than a speeding ticket.

It seems that when an officer stopped the motorist on Oct. 6 for allegedly driving at 50 mph in a 25 mph zone, the driver admitted there had been drugs in the car, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The driver reportedly gave the officer a small bag with suspected marijuana and a search of the car by K-9 Apollo yield paraphernalia.
