New Canaan Residents Charged After Disturbance: PD

One person was charged with interfering with police after he refused to calm down, police said.

New Canaan, CT- Two New Canaan residents were charged after police responded to a report of an intoxicated person at a residence, according to police.

Officers went to a Smith Ridge Road residence July 10 and found Michael Holland, 34, of Smith Ridge Road in the driveway trying to get inside a house, police said. He became belligerent with officers and had to be restrained after he refused to calm down.

He was arrested for disorderly conduct and interfering with police.

The initial caller, [Name Removed], 33, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and released at the scene. She was involved in an altercation prior to police arrival, according to police.
