GHB is usually sold as a liquid and has euphoric and calming effects, according to the Drug Enforcement Agency. It became infamous in the 1990’s as a date rape drug, but is also taken by people who believe it will help them lose weight and build muscle.
GHB increases the central nervous system depressant effects of alcohol when the two drugs are taken together.
