New Canaan Saxe Project Could Push Back Other Projects
The proposed $17 million expansion could push back other town projects.

The proposed Saxe Middle School expansion project might force other capital projects to be put on the back burner for a couple of years.
The $17 million expansion plan would help alleviate overcrowding as the school. Already there are 152 more students in the school than what it was built for, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
First Selectman Robert Mallozzi III said that the Saxe issue must be addressed.

Some capital projects might have to be moved back a few years and Mallozzi said he would ask for operating efficiencies on both the Board of Education and town side of the budget to help minimize the tax burden.
