Thomas Decker, King Athletic Director, has watched Kieran develop and mature during his time at King.
“I am very happy for Kieran," Decker said. "His selection to the All-America Team is a fitting way to cap off a great career here at King. As the goalie, he has been the anchor of our team, and his positive work ethic and leadership qualities were a part of the foundation that has helped our soccer team achieve the success it has over the past several years."
King head coach Enzennio Mallozzi also felt McQuilkin was deserving on the honor.
"Kieran is an outstanding leader with an impeccable sense of honor and respect for himself and everyone around him," Mallozzi said. "He also has an optimistic personality and is constantly encouraging and building the players around him.
"This season Kieran was an absolute star with rock-solid play all season long. He consistently made big-time saves and led the team by example. He is one of the main reasons we won the FAA championship this year.”
