Class L state finalist placed eight players on the all-FCIAC football first teams.
Named to the all-FCIAC East offense were quarterback Matt Milano, wide receivers Patrick Newton and Pete Kraus, tight end Connor Kilbane and lineman Kalin Killinger.

Earning spots on the all-FCIAC East defense were lineman Dylan Leeming, linebacker Kevin McDonough and punter-kicker Collin Shapiro.
New Canaan finished 11-2, losing to Hand 34-10 in the Class L championsip game. It was the Rams' sixth consecutive trip to the state finals.

The New Canaan girls basketball team looks to bounce back from a loss when the Rams visit Bridgeport Central on Friday in a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
Sarah Mannelly scored all 23 of her points in the second half, Wednesday, but it wasn't quite enough as St. Joseph held on to defeat New Canaan 58-56 Wednesday.
It was the second straight loss for the Rams, who dropped to 1-2.
Bridgeport Central enters Friday's contest at 0-3 following a 76-33 drubbing to Danbury on Wednesday.

The New Canaan boys basketball team again looks for its first win under new coah Mike Halley as the Rams host Bridgeport Central at 7 p.m.
New Canaan had a rough opener, falling 90-35 to defending Class LL state champion St. Joseph, which is ranked second in the New Haven Register's preseason top 10 state media poll.
Bridgeport Central is coming off a wild affair, suffering a 109-106 double overtime loss at Danbury.
After giving up 90 points on Wednesday, the Rams certainly will be looking to slow down the tempo against the Hilltoppers.
