Theboys hockey team earned its first win of the season Friday, posting a 5-4 victory over Greenwich at the Darien Ice Rink.
The Rams (1-2), who were outscored 9-1 in their first two games, held on after Spencer Manchuck gave them a 5-2 lead just over a minute into the third period.

Matt Lodato scored five minutes later to pull the Cardinals (1-2) within 5-3 and Brett Backman scored in the final minute to make it a one-goal contest.
The Rams tallied three times in the second period, taking a 4-2 lead on a goal by Harry Stanton with under 30 seconds remaining.

Ryan Corrigan, Will Trepp and Matt Lodato also scored for the Cardinals, who received 27 saves from Vinny Scorese.
Dylan Hart, Jake Granito and Harry Stanton had the other goals for New Canaan with Manchuck also picking up a pair of assists.
