New Canaan's had two goals and an assist Sunday night, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-1 win over the league-leading New York Rangers in Montreal.
The two goals give Pacioretty 15 for the season, second on the team behind Eric Cole, who has 17.

The three points lift Pacioretty's season total to 32, which also is second on the club. Cole leads 33.
The struggling Canadiens (17-20-8) have endured a turmoil-ridden season and are eight points out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

After a close win over Simsbury, the New Canaan girls hockey team returned to its dominant form on Saturday.
Olivia Hompe scored five goals and Corbett Ripley added a pair a the Rams rolled to a 7-1 victory over FCIAC rival Greenwich at the Dorothy Hamill Rink.
New Canaan, which needed two late goals to defeat Simsbury 3-1 in its most recent game, improved to 10-0. Greenwich dropped to 5-4.
Hompe scored three of the first four goals for the Rams, who built a 4-0 lead after the second period en route to their 27th consecutive victory.
Britt Gardella made 16 saves for New Canaan, allowing only a third-period goal to Skylar Jayes.
Dart Freccia stopped 34 shots for the Cardinals.

On the boys side, Dylan Hart had two goals and three assists to lead the Rams to an 8-2 victory over Stamford on Saturday at the Darien Ice Rink.
Jake Granito added a pair of goals for New Canaan, which won its third straight game to improve to 5-3. During the winning streak, the Rams have outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 23-4. They are 5-1 since starting the season 0-2.
New Canaan's other goals were scored by Tyler Manchuck (also two assists), Spencer Manchuck, Danny Newman and Matt Blasco.
Sal Dipreta and Carter Trabakino scored for Stamford, which dropped to 2-6-1.
Goaltender Chris Koennecke made 20 saves for New Canaan while Hunter Alderman stopped 27 shots for Stamford.
