Things do not get any easier for the girls basketball team, which is in danger of falling out of the FCIAC playoff race.
Following back-to-back losses to Trinity Catholic and Norwalk, the Rams (8-6, 6-6) have fallen to 12th in the FCIAC standings, and now they have to visit one of the FCIAC's hottest teams on Tuesday in Fairfield Warde (9-5, 7-5).

With five seniors in the starting lineup, the Mustangs are playing with a ton of confidence and defeat Staples 52-40 on Friday for their fifth straight victory.
Still, New Canaan is only one game out of a playoff spot and can jump back into the think of the race with a win over Warde, which is in a five-way tie for seventh with Darien, Norwalk, Stamford and Staples.

New Canaan's Sarah Mannelly was spectacular with 30 points in Friday's 69-54 loss to Norwalk, However, Emma Oyomba scored 33 for the Bears.
On the boys side, New Canaan hosts Warde in a 7 p.m. start.
New Canaan, which remains winless in FCIAC playoff, dropped to 1-11 and 0-10 following a 61-48 loss to Norwalk on Friday.
Fairfield Warde improved to 6-6 and 4-6 with a 60-51 victory over Staples on Friday.
