New Canaan Scores And Standings: Nov, 25

After Thursday's 42-21 win over Darien in the Turkey Bowl, New Canaan (9-1) only climbed up to No. 5 in the final Class L rankings.

The means the Rams will be on the road in the quarterfinals on Tuesday against No. 4 New London, also 9-1. This is a difficult quarterfinal matchup as the Whalers handed FCIAC finalist Greenwich its only regular season.

If New Canaan wins, it would face top seed Windsor (10-0) or Notre Dame of West Haven (8-2) in the semifinals.

In the other quarterfinal games, No. 2 Hand (10-0) hosts No. 7 Coventry/Windham Tech (9-1) and No. 3 Masuk (10-0) entertains No. 6 North Haven (9-1)

New Canaan is seeking a sixth consecutive trip to the state finals. Last season, the Rams suffered a 50-20 loss to Masuk in the Class L championship game, ending their run of four consecutive state titles.
