New Canaan Silver Hill Patient Socks Employee in Face
The patient was wearing socks on his hand and allegedly hit a worker in the face, police said.

A 18-year-old patient at Silver Hill Hospital allegedly socked an employee in the face while wearing socks on his hands and wielding a water bottle in a sock.
Police responded to the facility on June 25 around 12:30 p.m. on a report of an assault on a staff member.
A 28-year-old male employee saw the patient wearing multiple layers of clothing with socks on his hands and a sock with a full water bottle. He thought the water bottle and sock could be used as a swung weapon, police said.

The patient allegedly threatened violence against the staff member and began swinging the bottle.
He was restrained, but not before he threw the water bottle at the male employee. He also hit him in the face with his hand, police said.

The patient from Great Neck, NY was charged with assault on a health care worker and disorderly conduct.
