With 18 new faces in the lineup, the boys hockey team has endured somewhat of an up-and-down season after last year's banner one-loss campaign.
However, the Rams served notice on Tuesday that they aren't going to give up their FCIAC title without a fight.

In a stunning turnaround from the earlier meeting with Darien this season, New Canaan snapped the Blue Wave's 11-game winning streak with a 4-0 victory at the Darien Ice Rink.
Peter Reinhardt, Dylan Hart, Jake Granito, Puck Richardson scored for the Rams, who improved to 11-6-1 overall and 7-3 in the FCIAC, tying Wilton and St. Joseph for third place with 14 points.

Under the league's new postseason format, the top six teams make the tier one playoffs. Trinity Catholic holds the sixth spot with 12 points.
Darien, which suffered a letdown after snapping Ridgefield's 14-game winning streak with a 4-2 victory on Saturday, suffered its first FCIAC loss of the season and dropped to 12-4 and 9-1.
Darien climbed two spots to fourth in the latest New Haven Register state media top poll, although the Blue Wave likely will fall back again.
On Dec. 19, Darien defeated New Canaan 6-1, which was before the Blue Wave started their winning streak.
Reinhardt and Hart scored in the first period to give the Rams a 2-0 lead after one. Granito tallied in the second and Richardson completed the scoring in the final period.
Max Rothston stopped 17 shots for Darien while Chris Koennecke made 18 saves for New Canaan, which killed off all four Darien power plays en route to its third straight victory.
