New Canaan Student Awarded National Merit Scholarship

A New Canaan student is among about 3,000 National Merit Scholarship winners.

New Canaan High School student Christopher Reik was awarded a scholarship to Tufts University. He aspires to go into bio-engineering.

Officials at U.S. colleges and universities selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution.
The awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
