New Canaan Superintendent Requests Budget Increase
Superintendent Bryan Luizzi made his proposal for the 2017-2018 budget.

NEW CANAAN, CT —School Superintendent Bryan Luizzi has proposed a school budget that comes with a 3.81 percent increase.
The budget request is up $3.28 million, according to the New Canaan Advertiser. There is also a capital expenditure request of $4.1 million that is separate from the operating budget.
Luzzi is pitching the idea of adding two paraprofessionals at the preschool level along with four other staff members in various capacities at a number of schools.
