New Canaan Teens Used Vacant House For Partying: Police

An investigation was launched after the incident was reported in late September.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Five New Canaan teens were issued summons this week after police determined that they had broken into a house under construction on Proprietors Crossing in September to party illegally, according to authorities.

The identities of the five - three 16-year-olds and two 17-year-olds - were not disclosed, but each was given a summons for second-degree trespass and possession of alcohol by a minor.

The incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. on September 20 when the home's owner contacted police about juveniles using the vacant home for underage drinking.
