New Canaan Tells State It Won't Help With Request For Financial Data: Report
A defiant First Selectman Rob Mallozzi III has a message for Gov. Dannel Malloy.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A defiant New Canaan First Selectman Rob Mallozzi III is telling Gov. Dannel Malloy that the town will not cooperate with the governor's request for municipalities to turn over financial data, reports the New Canaan Advertiser.
Mallozzi says that the data is publicly available, and Malloy's administration can get the information itself.
Malloy is seeking municipal financial data essentially to determine how much state aid a town can afford to lose in the ongoing state budget negotiations, writes the Darien Times.
