"Arriving officers observed a vehicle that had traveled off Silvermine Road and crashed into a stone wall," wrote New Canaan police in a statement. "A subsequent investigation determined that Moran was the operator/only occupant and while speaking with investigating officers she had an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Moran was subsequently transported to Norwalk Hospital ER to be evaluated for any injuries stemming from the crash."

New Canaan police obtained a warrant to test Moran's blood alcohol content from the accident, and the reading was determined to .35, which is above the legal limit.
