New Canaan Woman Faces DUI Charge

A 51-year-old woman is facing several motor vehicle charges including driving under the influence, according to Greenwich Police.

The woman surrendered June 24 at police headquarters where police held an arrest warrant charging her in connection with a May 23 incident that occurred at the Intersection of Maple and East Putnam Avenues, according to a police report. The report did not provide details of the incident.

Linda L. Hickey, of 33 Toquam Rd., New Canaan, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to carry a license, failure to drive right and failure to drive in proper lane, according to the report.

Hickey was released on a written promise to appear July 8 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
