Connecticut Nor'easter In Mother's Day Weekend Weather Forecast
The National Weather Service released new details about a potential Nor'easter for this weekend in Conn. Here are the latest details.

For those of you hoping that the Nor’easter predicted to heavily impact Connecticut’s Mother’s Day weekend forecast would head out to sea, well, it looks like we’ve got some bad news for you. The National Weather Service said Wednesday that “confidence is increasing in a soaking windswept rain during the (Saturday-Sunday) morning period.”
The only good news, if you want to call it that, is that the rain is largely expected to end late Sunday morning or early afternoon. But before the rains end, Connecticut could see another 1-3 inches of rain, and there may be some flooding concerns too, according to the National Weather Service. And the National Weather Service continues to state the obvious with regard to temperatures, “Temps will continue to run several degrees below seasonable through the weekend, moderating toward seasonable once the upper low departs early to mid next week.”

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan explains why this storm may be so significant.
“Flooding remains a threat this weekend. Using something called Model Climate we can look at how this computer model forecast compares to previous model forecasts around this time of year. The amount of precipitation being printed out is higher than any of the other reforecasts back to 1985. A big signal for the potential for big rain. Saturday night looks the most problematic,” Hanrahan wrote on social media.
