New Fire Rating Could Save New Canaan Residents Money
The town has received a better rating for the Insurance Service Office for fire service. That could mean lower premiums.

New Canaan homeowners might want to call their insurance companies to see if New Canaan’s new Insurance Service Office (I.S.O) rating could save money on premiums.
New Canaan’s fire service received a 4/4 rating, which is higher than the previous 6/9, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
Older fire hydrants have been replaced with modern more powerful hydrants, which is the main cause for the rating increase, said First Selectman Robert Mallozzi III.
