New Senior Portfolio Manager Named at Bankwell

Barry Citrin has been hired as First Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Bankwell, it was announced by Heidi DeWyngaert, Chief Lending Officer and Christine Chivily, Chief Credit Officer. In his new position, Mr. Citrin will be responsible for supervision of the Commercial Loan Portfolio at the bank. This newly created position has been designed to coordinate the commercial loan department with the commercial credit department and loan operations.

Mr. Citrin is a finance professional with 35 years of institutional lending and portfolio management experience. Prior to joining Bankwell, Mr. Citrin was Senior Vice President in charge of NY CRE Portfolio Management for BankUnited. His background includes extensive experience in CRE and Commercial Lending including portfolio management, asset management, risk and credit analysis, due diligence, originations, acquisitions and workouts.

Mr. Citrin received his MBA from Cornell University and a BA in History from Brandeis University. He resides in Rye Brook, NY with his wife and their rescue dog, Tali.
