NY Woman Passed Counterfeit $100 Bill In New Canaan, Cops Say
The accused tried to pass the fake bill at several retail shops in town, according to New Canaan police.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 19-year-old Bronx, New York woman was arrested on a warrant charging her with forgery and larceny after police said she tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at multiple New Canaan stores, according to police.
Jeanise Rojas Perez surrendered to New Canaan police on Thursday in connection with the May 26 incident. She was charged with first-degree forgery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
According to police, Perez was seen on surveillance video going to several unnamed New Canaan shops on the 26th attempting to pass the counterfeit bill.

She was released on Thursday after posting bond on bail of $1,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 12.
